Take Action Now!

In the Ohio Supreme Court’s 1996 DeRolph decision Ohio’s primary school funding plan was declared unconstitutional.  Now, 24 years later, after many fits and starts the Ohio legislature is actively working on a bipartisan solution: the Fair School Funding Plan.  Too many children have suffered, and continue to suffer, at the hands of inequitable education funding and ineffective legislating. We must band together as communities, educators, parents, and LEAGUE to ensure HB 305 and SB 376 pass during the Lame Duck session — in their entirety.

Attached are the recording of a November 12 workshop organized by LWV Hudson and additional resources that detail the urgency of passing the Fair School Funding Plan NOW. Interested Members:  Please review the background materials and strongly consider submitting Letter(s) to the Editor.
