Frederick County

This week, people from all over this country have exercised their First Amendment rights as they protest the killing of George Floyd and the countless other Black lives that have been taken at the hands of police.

We come to the table as allies, focused on creating systemic change in our government institutions, starting with unjust policing. We join people of every race, religion, and ethnic background, who kneel in solidarity with the Black community with the same message—Black Lives Matter.

Standing in Solidarity with the Black Community

Thank you for visiting the League of Women Voters of Frederick County!

We are a nonpartisan group of Frederick County residents who encourage informed and active participation in government. We strive to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and we influence public policy through education and advocacy.

The League of Women Voters does not support or oppose any candidate running for office at any level of government.  We do not support any political party. We want everyone to vote to ensure our elected leaders represent all members in our community.
